Highlights of last week's CMA's!

I've compiled my favorite clips from the 41st Annual CMA awards from last Wednesday.....with comments etc....

If you missed the awards last week you can catch the rebroadcast on Thanksgiving night on CMT. That'll be some great after Turkey viewing and listening...

Kellie Pickler.....wow all I can say is I was crying. Knowing her history and how her mother left her at the age of two makes this song all the more powerful. Her father has been in and out of jail. Basically Kellie grew up without a proper biological father and mother. She feels every single word of this song. And there she is singing her life on stage for all the world to see. Kellie you're the best!!!!

Jennifer Nettles is a powerhouse. This performance of "Stay" was the bomb!!! She's got the goods. From the calls I get at the station this is a favorite of a lot of women and not so many men. Still a powerful tune and worth every second.....

My favorite performance of the night was by a band that's never done an awards show before.....I loved them 28 years ago when they last released a studio album and I love 'um now(as does Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Phil Vassar and many others)

The Eagles. These guys have the best harmonies!!!

There you go!! I'll be watching with the in-laws in Chicago on Thanksgiving night!!
Have a great week and keep listening for details on Shop-a-pa-looza!!! It's gonna be some shop-a-holic fun!!!
