Don't Mess With Faith's Man!!!

Faith Hill is my kinda woman!! Have you heard what happened Saturday night at a show in Louisiana!! Here's the scoop:

Want a handful of TIM MCGRAW? Be prepared for an earful from his wife, FAITH HILL. At a stop on the couple's Soul2Soul tour Saturday at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, a female fan grabbed Tim in the crotch area as he walked between a barricade and the stage to greet fans. Shortly thereafter, in front of the whole crowd, Faith barked at the fan in a brief rant that was of course captured on tape. "Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend," she chides the fan. "You don't go grabbin' somebody else's, somebody's husband's [private parts], you understand me? That's very disrespectful." A rep for Faith confirmed that the fan had grabbed Tim and said "Faith dealt with the situation on the spot and said all that needed to be said from the stage."

So You Think You Can Write a Great Country Song?

Have you ever wondered to yourself, I can write a great country song but nobody knows how good I really am? Well now there's a chance for you to show off your songwriting skills and impress the best in the business. My longtime friend Phil Vassar is one of the judges for the Music City Songwriting Competition. You have until August 31 to get your entry in and it doesn't have to be anything more than a vocal/piano or vocal/guitar demo. Now if you want to fully produce a demo that's fine but the song is what really matters. As long as the words and the melody are communicated clearly.
Here's the scoop from the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau.....

Be a part of the FIRST Music City Songwriting Competition and make history!Write a song. Send it in.Win a trip to Music City to get your song professionally produced by Universal Records South.Perform it with Phil Vassar on XM Satellite Radio show "Music City Connection: Heroes Behind the Hits."Share your music with the world. Congrats to Barton College graduate Anthony Adkinson.....(Anthony is the guy who scored 10 points in the final 45 seconds of the NCAA Division II National Championship game to lead the Wilson school to the title against previously unbeaten Winona Minnesota State. ) Anthony has been picked by the Harlem Globetrotters to join the team. What memories I have of Meadowlark Lemon, Curly, Goose and the rest of the Trotters I saw when I was a kid. What a great way for Adkinson to follow his love of mentoring kids and continuing his basketball career. What a story, what a season, what a great way to follow your dreams!!!!! Make sure to vote for Anthony and the Barton College team in the ESPN Espy awards. They're up for best finish. Here's a link to vote: www.espn.go.com/espy2007/index.html#/vote/
just click on best finish, and then Barton College.......
I hope they win!!!
